Wynn Zen is a traditional Yoga class. Based on the practice of Ashtanga, Hatha and Baptiste Yoga, participants move through Sun Salutations, Core Work and Balance Poses. This class is different from a typical yoga class because it includes a solid balance between the traditional Yoga and a challenging workout. Part of the class moves faster to challenge the strength and endurance, while the other part moves slower to build focus and presence. Practicing the breathe work throughout the session, the class ends in meditation to clear the mind of cluttered thoughts and work on setting the new intentions that transform body, mind, and soul.
Pino Rizzi, the creator and teacher of this class is committed to sharing the philosophy of Yoga, a practice that will change the way you see yourself and your whole life. Pino’s extensive Yoga training has allowed him to teach around the world, to be currently working with the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute, and to also teach a WynnZen class at Wynn Fitness Club Mississauga.
This is an excellent class for a regular gym enthusiast who needs to stretch out. Also, it can be a great way to heal injuries, but the benefits of Yoga go far beyond physical. Such group class will leave you with more energy, focus, and a positive mindset; it will leave you quite inspired and uplifted.
All levels can participate, options for every pose are given, you just need to show up and do what feels right for you on that day. Every next time, you will do more, achieve more, give more, and receive more.
USEFUL TIPS: You may bring some water with you, your yoga mat if you prefer, and attending the class barefoot is the best as per Pino’s recommendation. Please arrive on time and let your instructor know if it’s your first time.
