STRONG by Zumba Classes
STRONG by Zumba, often called bootcamp for non-bootcampers, is a high-intensity-interval-training with a party vibe. Typically split into four parts, this class takes the participants first through the “Ignite” portion to have everyone warmed up. What follows is so called the “Fire up!” part, where there is barely any break between the squats, punches and exercises alike. “Push Your Limits” quadrant really does what it says, after which the class-goers end up on the floor… because then they plank their way into the last part of the class called “Floorplay.”
Unlike many workout programs out there where the music is an afterthought, in the class like STRONG by Zumba, music is an integral part, and it is specifically crafted in a way that makes you do more and work harder. Dance cardio is a great workout, but when you also incorporate strength exercises and high-intensity-interval-training, then you’ve created a whole set of new benefits to up your fitness regime. USEFUL TIPS: Wear comfortable clothing and shoes with good lateral and heel support. Bring a bottle of water and a towel. Please arrive on time and let your instructor know if it’s your first time.
